That's the crack retired IDF Brigadier General Yossi Kuperwasser basically admitted out loud. He's fine waiting years for the blockade to grind Iran down. Trump isn't.
Democracies don't do patience, Kuperwasser says, and that's exactly why Washington keeps threatening then backing off instead of just letting the pressure campaign play out.
Then there's the "obliterated" problem. Trump's people say Fordow, Natanz, the conversion facility; all obliterated, mission accomplished.
Kuperwasser doesn't walk that back, he just adds a footnote most people missed: obliterating the facilities didn't touch the 400+ kg of enriched uranium sitting in tunnels nobody can reach from the air.
So the win is real and also doesn't actually end anything. That's not spin, that's just what he said when pushed on it directly.
The part that should actually worry people is what comes next. Kuperwasser's own words: Israel hasn't focused enough on Iran's energy grid and IRGC-linked infrastructure, and that's "the next stage."
Same IDF officer who, minutes earlier, was defending Gaza's civilian death toll by arguing there's a terrorist or a weapons cache behind nearly every wall. So the target was never really civilian to begin with.
If that's the framework carrying over to Iran, the only question is whether the "next stage" ends up looking a lot like the last one.
