We've aired the collapse case for weeks on this show, so tonight deserves the counter, and Brent Johnson delivered the sharpest one yet.

His audit is uncomfortable reading.

The stock market held, employment held, oil sits at $80, and gold is down on the year. Russia never came running to Iran's aid, China never sent a force to protect its partner, and not one European country stopped trading with Washington.

Plenty of speeches about sovereignty, he notes, but the concrete realignment everyone predicted simply hasn't shown up.

His explanation stings more than the audit:

"it comes down to a lack of ability"

If walking away from the dollar were easy, the world would have done it already.

He reads Washington's plan as cold tail-risk management, cutting off the world-war scenario and accepting everything else, because there's no version of this where America bleeds alone.

A recession here means a depression somewhere else, and shared misery keeps the hierarchy exactly where it is.

Give him credit for honesty, though.

He owns that his famous milkshake theory called crises in 2020 and 2022 that never landed, admits weaponizing the dollar produces blowback the shooter feels too, and he's buying wheat, corn and soybeans because the fertilizer that never left the Gulf missed planting season on both halves of the planet.

Which means his optimism has a shadow: America isn't winning cleanly, it's winning ugly, and the bill for that arrives with winter.
